With our friends at DDB, we developed a simple, well-developed and addictive HTML5 game to promote the Little Ripper LifeSaver Rescue Drone for the client Westpac

Remote-controlled drone copters like the Little Ripper, provided by Westpac, are making a big difference for Australian lives on the beach and in the bush. We designed the game to be used in schools to teach kids about what The Little Ripper is. The game was created as part of a set of educational materials to be used in schools. The game lets players control the Little Ripper on both mobile and desktop platforms. The aim of the mission is to deliver rescue packages between three distinct environments: bush, sea, and mountains.

We provided the following services:

  • Game design and development
  • Level design
  • Custom HTML5 game development
  • UI/UX development
  • Music and sound design

A small budget allowed us to build a fun arcade game with a unique game mechanic

In response to a thin brief, we developed a simple game design. Furthermore, we delivered within a short time frame and a reasonable budget for one of the world's largest advertising agencies, DBB. Our client wanted a game that was fun and conveyed key messages about The Little Ripper to young children. With user testing, we worked closely with DDB and Westpac to ensure that we met their needs.

Players control the movement of the drone copter with two buttons, one to lift and the other to drop off rescue packages.
